Contract Project Officer

Ocean Park Conservation Foundation committed to advocating, facilitating and participating in effective conservation of Asian wildlife, with an emphasis on Chinese white dolphins and giant pandas as well as their habitats. This will be achieved through partnerships, fundraising, research and education. We are now looking for a person who is dedicated to environmental conservation to join our Community Education team to coordinate a OPCFHK education programme to promote Don’t Feed Wild Animals in country parks. The incumbent will assist the Community Education Manager in the development of activities, production of programme materials and execution of the programme and other ad hoc duties assigned.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree or above in ecology/ biology / environmental science / environmental education or related disciplines
- At least 3 years practical experience in organizing and coordinating conservation education programmes, and school partnership, organizing and leading outdoor activities
- Willing to work on irregular working schedule (e.G weekends / public holidays)
- Effective team work, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good report writing and data analyze skills
- Knowledge in the local monkey ecology with practical experience in conducting ecological survey on wildlife which include monkey population will be an advantage
- Proficient in ordinary applications of MS Office
- Practical skill in production of online teaching material / multi-media production would be of added advantage
