- Designing and developing data storage and data processing solutions for the enterprise
- Setting up and deploying cloud-based data services such as storage, databases and analytics
- Securing the platform and stored data
- Monitoring to ensure systems run properly and are cost-effective
- Adhering to best practice architecture, design, development, test and deployment principles
- Working with stakeholders to ensure the product is aligned to business goals
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the wider engineering community
- Seeking out and provide regular feedback on performance and delivery
- Relevant previous IT education and/or experience as a Data Engineer
- Experience with Python and PySpark
- A strong understanding of data and analytical processing technologies e.G., data science, SQL databases, snowflake, SQL server
- Proficient in key technologies and frameworks required by the data solution delivery pillar e.G., Azure data factory, event hubs and data bricks
- Proven experience and knowledge of agile practices, principles and theories
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a team and be self sufficient
