job description
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database software and related products
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for Oracle databases
- Monitor and optimize database performance using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager and SQL Tuning Advisor
- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Oracle databases with other systems and applications
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and migrations
- Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Familiarity with relational database concepts and SQL
- Application server experience is desirable
- Experience with Oracle databases is desirable
- Knowledge of database administration principles and practices
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant certifications (e.G., Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus
