- Collaborate closely with the design and product development teams to review garment prototypes and samples, providing technical feedback on construction, fit, and performance.
- Conduct comprehensive garment evaluations, including measurements, fabric assessments, and construction analysis, to ensure adherence to quality standards and design specifications.
- Identify and address any potential issues related to garment fit, comfort, performance, and construction, making recommendations for improvements.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to communicate technical specifications and resolve any production-related challenges.
- Conduct fit sessions and collaborate with pattern makers to achieve optimal fit, comfort, and functionality for various sports and activities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to garment construction, performance fabrics, and manufacturing techniques.
- Support the development and maintenance of garment specifications, technical drawings, and measurement charts for performance wear lines.
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion and Textile, Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Garment Technician in the apparel industry.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, performance fabrics, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in conducting garment evaluations and measurements, and interpreting technical specifications.
- Knowledge of pattern making, grading, and alterations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools related to garment specification and evaluation.
