job description
- Supervise general accounting matters and general ledger process, performing appropriate review and ensure appropriate controls and compliance with HBI finance policies, HBI Internal Control Project Requirements, GAAP and local tax requirements.
- Investigate and reconcile payment issues and prepare debit / credit notes
- Reconcile inventory reports and ensure proper inventory recognition
- Prepare inter-company invoice and balance reconciliations
- Provide practical analysis and timely reporting of financial information including reports to Corporate Treasury and Corporate Tax Department
- Implement good cash management practices for receivables and payables and ensure proper control over cash disbursements.
- Prepare &
review financial reports and supporting schedules at month-end. Ensure adherence to HBI finance policies and procedures, and local requirements. Perform analytical review for the variances Vs OPC and prior period - Identify risks and resolve critical issues relating to the achievement of business plans
- Stay informed on all local tax and other regulatory requirements;
establish processes andcontrols to ensure compliance with regulations. Alert management to any proposed or pending regulatory changes that may affect the company, and project the impact of the changes - Plan and work with external or internal auditors as required ensuring the consistency and compliance of the financial system and information. Provide and implement corrective and preventive action plans
- Degree holder in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
- At least 3 years relevant experience in handling full set of accounts and accounts analysis
- Sound working knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, International Financial Reporting
- Standards, HK GAAP, HK Tax and Company Ordinances. And, knowledge of local tax and financial reporting
- requirements in HK &
Asia region - Multinational company and in garment industry or Buying Offices but not a must
- Good skills in Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of SAP Business One is preferred.
- Fluent in English (verbal &
written) - Good interpersonal communication skills
