Senior Public Affairs Manager

The incumbent will take an important role in driving Ocean Park Corporation’s external communications, stakeholder engagement, influencer engagement and publicity initiatives. He/She will devise and implement communications projects to amplify and deepen public understanding of the Corporation’s conservation and education endeavours. He/She will craft compelling content, build strong narratives, and promote Ocean Park and Water World’s visitor experiences via media coverage and events. He/She will work closely with in-house subject experts on a variety of topics, proactively seeking out media, social and thought-leadership opportunities through cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• University degree
• At least 15 years’ experience in public affairs, with 10 years and above in manager positions
• Proven track record in C-suite and ESG communications as well as issue and reputation management
• Proven track record in media relations, stakeholder engagement, influencer marketing and community relations
• Proven track record in orchestrating complex production and publishing projects
• Proven ability to develop engaging content in the areas of leisure and entertainment, education, conservation, and sustainability
• Strategic, creative, broad market awareness, good commercial acumen and result-oriented
• Excellent content creation, copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
• Exceptional commitment to quality and attention to detail
• An aptitude for turning scientific and technical information into consumer-friendly messages
• Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Adept at building positive relationships and optimizing partnerships
• Adept at team development and coaching
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Available to work on weekends or public holidays for ad hoc assignments
